Center for Science & Technology Museum

The Center for Science & Technology Museum of Thessaloniki is a cultural and educational non-profit organization, founded in 2001. It offers guests an environment for knowledge and understanding of science and technology and technical issues involved in culture. The Center was built in a privileged land, with panoramic views of the Gulf of Thessaloniki and Thessaloniki in general, an area of 48,000 square meters allocated to the Technical Museum of the City in Thermi. The Foundation is located across from the mall Mediterranean Comos.The modern museum includes an interactive area where visitors can actively participate in several activities concerning science as well as a giant movie screen where projections of scientific and environmental films are made in large format and in 3D. Also striking features are the center of the digital planetarium where representation of astronomical and natural phenomena are presented and also the virtual reality simulator, offering 18 seats, which is a dynamic simulation of various situations, such as a trip to space or into the depths of the ocean. This is the most modern museum of Thessaloniki offering a wide variety of activities for visitors. This museum is just 10 minutes from Thessaloniki’s Macedonia airport where you can pick up your company’s rental car. The Center is located at the 6th km of Thessaloniki-Thermi route and it is open daily except Mondays with variable time schedules.
