Nea Krini
Leaving the center of Thessaloniki, we go to the east side of the city and specifically to the Nea Krini area. Nea Krini is one of the ten districts of Kalamaria with the names of the homelands of the first local residents that were refugees from Pontos and Asia Minor. It is located at the eastern entrance of the city bordered by Phinikas and the Municipality of Thessaloniki and of course the beach! Apart from the very good local market in Kalamaria it is also a huge part of the night life, and generally part of the fun in Thessaloniki. You can start in the morning having a coffee in the quiet pedestrian street, in a cafeteria. For lunch there are many taverns, restaurants and barbecue houses which you can choose from depending on what your appetite desires. An afternoon coffee you can enjoy at the beach in Nea Krini, in Kalamaria, overlooking the open sea. An evening drink in the bars of Nea Krini goes from one to many as the night flows. Our advice for anyone visiting Greece is to get a taste of this side of town. The most reliable and economical way to do this is none other than to use the rental car of our company that would become a great help to cover distances across Thessaloniki and to avoid unnecessary fatigue and expenses.
