More specific lease terms regarding the processing of personal data:

The lessee provides his explicit and free consent to the processing of his personal data by the company. The personal data processed by the company are those provided by the lease agreement or any telephone/online reservation of the customer and include information particularly about the identification, the residence, the postal/telephone/electronic communication, the driving license, tax information on pricing (tax identification number, tax office, VAT, company data), data regarding the customer’s credit/debit card as well as data related to the lease of the car (duration, km, point of delivery and pick-up, etc.). The processing of the lessee’s personal data consists in collecting, recording and storing them in an electronic or physical manner and in their use for the smooth execution of the lease, the fulfillment of the obligations and rights stemming from the lease, the proper pricing, the payment and the processing of the payment, the claims arising out of the insurance contract, the fulfillment of the tax or other legal obligations of the company, the legal claims of the company (e.g. in case of incorrect / false statements made by the lessee, in case of breach of the terms hereof, in the event of an accident), the evaluation of the lessee’s solvency with regard to previous leases, the collection of statistical and historical data of the leases for the purpose of analyzing and improving the provided services. The retention period of personal data does not exceed the necessary reasonable time and is linked, where appropriate, to the legitimate purpose of the processing and the legal or contractual context in question, and in any case does not exceed a period of 20 years. Personal data are not forwarded to third parties unless it is necessary in the above cases, such as the transmission of billing data and credit/debit cards to banks, accident data to insurance companies, billing data to the state (tax office), the details of the lease and the lessee to the court of law, the competent authorities and the relevant civil servants or legal representatives for the company’s legal claims or when there are suspicions of a criminal offense, statistical data (anonymous) to companies dealing with strategic analysis and planning, etc. The use of the lessee’s personal data to inform him about offers and services (e.g. sending advertising messages from G. VLACHOPOULOS SA directly or through an external service provider of such services) is permitted only if the lessee has explicitly consented to this. The lessee may at any time request (by sending an e-mail or letter by fax or mail to the following address) the interruption of the processing of his/her personal data for such promotional/advertising purposes. The lessee states that he has read the company’s policy with regard to personal data processing and security (posted on its website and available in paper format at its offices) and that he has been informed of his rights with regard to the processing of his personal data, and that particularly has, under certain legitimate conditions, a right to get informed of and access the data, the right to rectification/erasure, the right to limit processing, the right to object to processing, the right to data deletion (right of deletion), the right to data portability, the right to withdraw his consent at any time, without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing based on consent prior to its revocation, the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Personal Data Protection Authority).
